It was the worst Resort we have stayed at. It was expensive, food, drinks and service was bad. Water was brown full of seaweed and smelly. Room was Ocean front however looking at brown water , building and room was old, in the elevator and first floor smelled roach spray.... In photos when we booked showed fully remodeled. Bathroom for the pool was long walk from pool . First trip to Mexico that we couldn't wait to get home.....We had the runs two day before we left from the bad food and drinks and it lasted for a week..All their wine was turned...We were supposed to have Butler Service...However we had hard time to get them to bring us water to our room in same day....I would call room service and phone would just ring and ring and no one picks up. Tried operator and same think. Once picked up and was going to transferred me and hung up on me...There was only 2 or 3 places to eat... And same food at all places...Would not go to this resort if it was for free...Definitely not a 5 start Hotel and definitely not worth the high price they charge.The only food that was good was when they grilled sea food by the pool.The only good thing at this trip was ,we had was good company.We went there to celebrate friends birthday and we made best of it..

Just got back from staying 5 days. Overall pretty terrible experience. There were things out of their control like the weather and seaweed. But the service was terrible, we asked for room service 3 times, never received anything, the front desk and concierge even called for us, never got anything, same thing happened with my family staying in another room. Door keys stopped working 3 times, it was a pain to get the cards swapped out. Drinks from bartenders were very hit or miss, mostly miss. When asking questions to the staff, no one really knew what was going on. Frequently received the wrong drinks, as a diabetic I was given regular coke most of the time even though I was very clear on asking for diet and had the waiter repeat it back. The food was pretty terrible as well. If you are looking for a place to enjoy fine dining, this is not the place for you. We had a few good meals but nothing to write home about. There were many times a plate had one or two bites taken out of it and the rest was thrown away. One positive thing about the resort was the fitness instructor George. He was funny and helped keep people sane when it rained for 8 hours straight, played bingo and Jenga. But overall pretty terrible. The resort is at 30% capacity and the staff couldn't keep up, definitely will not be returning.

We just got back from this resort and had a nice stay. We went for a wedding, which was beautiful on the roof top! The pools are great! However, due to the seaweed shedding, we were unable to even be on the beach. It was smelly and the water was an ugly brown! So, due to this our stay was a bit disappointing! That is a big part of what you go for! (Big reason for the lower rating). Most of the staff was great and very friendly! The food was great! The spa was amazing and had a nice gym, which we took advantage of. Our pool side waitress Lucia, was exceptional! She was a lot of fun and gave great service!

Pros:Lots of pools and bars to go to which was funFood was good and they had many options for people.Location was convenient from the airport.Staff was friendly and polite.Entertainment each night.Cons:Bottled water is very hard to get. Called about 10 times over 2 days and visited front desk multiple times. They said they would restock your refrigerator each day but that did not happen.Wedding going on right now, very nice. Extremely loud though for all other paying guests. Not sure how we will fall asleep for our early flight tomorrow. Seems poorly thought out by hotel if they wanted to provide a good experience to all guests.Other details missed by staff, example: lunch menu on display screens would indicate wrong restaurant lunch was served at.Room service menu on channel 49 next to impossible to read.Overall, would probably not return.

Do not waste your money, time, and sanity. Saw several comments with positives and negatives, but there were not enough positives to outweigh the overwhelming negatives. From the outset of checking in on site, we were treated as if we were a chore by most staff. Over an hour to check in and then after waking across the grounds our keys didn't work. This "key malfunction" happened every day. We ended up with 6 different keys to try and have 1 that would actually work. It ended up being a joke to my 12 year old of whether it "would work this time." The second time I came back the front desk said it was my fault for holding it next to my leather wallet that was clearly magnetic. I held it in my hand the whole way back to the room and it still failed. A staff member with a master key tried it and it didn't work. Still our fault... Tip minibar service person to return with drinks that never return, servers ignore you in the restaurants have to flag down hostess to order, swim up bar closed 4 of the days we're there and don't have a bar tender consistently there one of the two days. The hot water took 15-20 minutes to heat up, the air conditioners in our joining rooms took turns failing (one broken for 3 days, the other for 2 days), the blinds were broken and got stuck open, the TV remotes broke, and to top it off my 2 year old woke with a fever the morning after we returned starting a case of hand foot and mouth disease. Go to one of the Palaces... For your own sanity and peace of mind.
