I went for Christmas 2020. It has taken me a few weeks to write this review because I wanted to take my feelings out of it. I wanted to offer the most constructive review possible. This resort is beautiful. Hands down. The accommodations are nice and the staff are pleasant hard-workers. The resort lacks in effective operations and communications. I wanted to give credit for pandemic restrictions but I can not. The issues I experienced were not solely based on new regulations. They were primarily due to poor management. Among little nuances, my biggest issues were that the food was not good and the Privilege rules were off putting to non-Privilege guests.I was a non-Privilege guest who was constantly reminded of where I did not belong. Many times these were accidents, as the resort is all-inclusive so things like Cabanas appeared to be available to all. I was also in the company of Privilege members, but that didn't seem to matter as staff routinely asked me to leave Privileged spaces. Quite frankly, the Privilege options were not much of an upgrade compared to the standard. My trip ended with me in tears after being constantly shepherded elsewhere, rules of certain areas being inconsistent, hunger, being hounded about joining their club despite declining, and management begging for more money (twice) after I checked out because "they forgot to add charges".The resort is entirely family friendly and adult friendly, it's large, has many amenities, and participates in social distancing and safety precautions. They lacked with coordination. If you have expectations of 4 - 5 star service I would not recommend this place. If you're okay with above subpar then go for it. I'm happy to share the details of my vacation offline. I left with the mindset that nothing could rectify the problems I experienced, except a bottle of wine - which they still asked me to pay for even though it was offered as a courtesy. I don't plan to return.
