This city is the head of the municipality of Los Cabos located in the southern end of the state of Baja California Sur. The tourism is the principal activity of this place. The festivities of this locality are related to the Patron Saint of San Jose, they are celebrated from 16th to 22th of March, being the 19th the most important day. The party begins with the coronation of the Queen and continues with the presentation of local and invited artists, charreada, cockfights, and competitions of cycling, athletics, and singing among others. Also you can taste typical dishes of the region.
One of the tragic events in this place was the hurricane Odile in September 14 of 2014. Most of the infrastructure, vegetation and beaches were affected by this natural phenomenon.
