We came to GP in January and it was quite good. We come to Mexico 3-4 times a year and when we like a place, we always give it more business. This go-round was REALLY terrible. With the exception of one really awesome individual Gilberto, there was a general rudeness in just about every employee. Even at check in the clerk was rude and not only didn’t give us a rundown on the property, didn’t even bother to tell us what was closed or open based on their current policies. For instance, their gym now requires reservations, one restaurant was periodically closed, etc. This was an important trip as I was proposing to my love. The property is clearly in need of maintenance as well. The rooms didn’t even have refrigerators. The food was good - the barn is really the only place to eat. Like I said, I travel down here a lot and have stayed in many properties. Not looking for a 5 star treatment but this time it was clear, they really didn’t care whether we were here or not. P.s. we aren’t gripers. We tried to be as proactively polite as we could be. I considered changing resorts mid stay but kept hoping it would get better. I highly doubt they will care about this review.
