RV Queen Of the South
I stayed here with my son and overall, I was pleased but this hotel is not for everyone. I will start with the good. All employees and 99% of the guests were wearing masks, even outside. The food was really good. We are in the restaurant, the pizza area outside and ordered room service several times. Food was always hot and on time. All the employees were nice and friendly. The small refrigerator in the room kept our drinks cold. There was also a coffee maker and microwave. We had the smallest room (2 double beds) but I was surprised to find a balcony with a great view of the ocean. We were in room 1408. There was no our music, etc at the pool, which I really appreciated. Our room had a room between the bedroom and bathroom that had a long bench and the closet area. This was very useful for keeping luggage accessible and changing clothes. Beds were fairly comfortable. In the lobby, there are 2 stores. One with drinks, including beer to purchase and the other with gifts. Very fair prices. Now the not so good. The room never really got cold. The air ran the entire time but never really cooled. There is no ceiling fan, as this would have helped. There are VERY few channels with English. We had 2 news stations and 2 sports stations. That is it. I scrolled through every channel. The shower head was mounted so low that I had to bend down to wash my hair (I am 5’4”). I am concerned that the room as not cleaned adequately. I found another guest’s sock near the sliding glass door and although we never went to the beach, there was sand on the floor.I would say that if you are going to spend all your time outside the room, like we did, this is a great choice for you. The beach area looks to be one of the best, with lots of chairs. The pool is quite small, so I wouldn’t plan to spend a ton of time there. I do highly recommend the 360 SUP tour across the street (caddy-corner). It is fantastic and they have kayak options too.
