Hotel and rooms are very, very dated. It's nice, but not the level of luxury we were hoping for. We were "upgraded" to a honeymoon suite which is fine except we are two friends who asked for a room with two beds. Our upgraded room has a musty smell and air conditioning isn't the best. Our balcony is covered in dead bugs which I don't understand. We had to wait two hours for a clean room so I guess "cleaning the room" didn't include the balcony floor, chairs, table and lounger. Disappointed. Based on other reviews we were hoping, and expecting, nicer....With that said, the service here is outstanding. Everyone is exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The staff makes this place!

Just returned from a weekend getaway. Resort is small and lovely * rooms are dated. Tranquil beautiful beach area. We stayed in a swim up suite and would highly recommend that. Our bath tub did not have warm/ hot water at all.. was never fixed. Main turn off was the lack of food through out the day and EXTREMELY SLOW SERVICE AT ALL DINING. No options for a quick snack, only option is to sit down to get bkfst./ lunch/ dinner a la cárte. The food was very good, but waiting 2.5 +hours for each dinner was disappointing.

I had a massage with a man named Jorge at the beginning of my stay so I decided to book again with him (even tipping him prior to my treatment because of how great my first experience was.) The second time around, I was completely violated internally and externally. I pray that all women see this post and report anything that happens to them on property. Jorge was removed from the property for the duration of my stay, and I was told that he would be fired and would be ineligible to work for any of the other Karisma properties. However, the police report did not go as planned due to EDM’s lack of concern, accuracy and preparation of how to handle the situation.

The best vacation ever! I'd reccomend this place to anyone. The staff was super helpful and very accommodating. Also the view from our room was dope!!! We also really enjoyed the food!!! They say it's the best beach in Mexico and it definitely lives up to that. We'll be back again for sure!

Overall, the resort is beautiful but we had several encounters during our stay that were extremely frustrating.Pros: beautiful beach, great food, staff was wonderfulCons: ALL the restaurants have a strict dress code for dinner. We didn’t pack anything that fit the dress code and we got denied dinner several times and we had to pay $50 for taxi ride to town to buy clothes for dinner. Talk about a frustrating experience to encounter as soon as we got to the resort. On our second night, our doorjamb broke and our door wouldn’t even close – we had to sit outside for over an hour and wait for things to get fixed. On our third night, we got back from dinner to find our room flooded from the air conditioner – all of our electronics had been sitting in standing water and I slipped on the floor and fell when entering the room. All of our clothes and documents (passports, travel documents, money) were soaked. We called the front desk and they sent maintenance and housekeeping to clean it up but not a single person apologized for the inconvenience or tried to make things better for us.For how much money we paid to stay there, it was extremely disappointing that so many things went badly and nobody cared to make things better for us.
