Our stay at Casa Malca was magical.Casa Malca has received a lot of new exposure and I was hesitant to book here as I presumed that it would be spoiled with a bunch of "instagrammers" and social media influencers as well as tourists, but on arrival I could see how the hotel was moving towards privatizing the hotel premises by only allowing guests access to the grounds. Casa Malca is also situated further down the "Hotel Zone" allowing for a more private and less touristy experience. There was a bit of a mix-up with my booking and I wasn't on the check in list even though I had my receipt. The staff was quick to fix the issue and assign me a room while I was busy gawking at the architecture and art work. I was greeted by very knowledgeable, friendly and professional staff members. The beach was crystal clear and the venue's were immaculate. My suite was to perfection and the furniture in the room (i.e bed and sofa) were the most comfortable things I had ever laid on. It is a luxury hotel so you will be paying luxury prices, but it is well worth it. Only breakfast was included and you are expected to pay a service fee (it was honestly $11) but, if your are not willing to tip staff members please refrain from staying at any hotel venue as tourism is what keeps places like Tulum, Mexico economically afloat. All in all, it was a very private, culturally enriching and comfortable stay. I would 100% recommend staying here at least for a night or two. You will not regret it.
