My two friends and I went the last week of December. We each took cash for spending plus our cards. Our trip was suppose to be 9 days. Right off the bat my friend started noticing money missing after the first 3 days, by that time the housekeepers had already cleaned once. We assumed that she had misplaced her cash, even though we only had one of us actually walk around with cash. I initially was hiding my wallet in the room, I got comfortable and left my wallet in my unlocked luggage as the days passed. When I left my wallet in the room, it had 3 $100 bills, when I checked in the morning it had 2. So 100 dollars went missing overnight, and that night I didn't carry any cash with me. My friend also noticed she had more cash missing as well. I spoke to the front desk and the first thing this young man said was "Did you have any of housekeeping in the room?" Literally the first thing out of his mouth when I said money has been going missing from our rooms, he replied with that. I then expressed to him that if the money was returned I wouldn't make a big deal, I just wanted the $200+ returned. The next day another older man was at the front desk, and he refused to give me his name. The manager wouldn't answer us, they wouldn't answer our calls, I tried complaining to the Priceline and they couldn't reach them. So we decided for our safety because now we knew no one's name and we were scared of retaliation for complaining, we left 2 days early from that hotel. It was literally the scariest and concerning moment I have experienced on a trip. When no one will give us their names and just ignore what was happening. 0/10 recommend.
