I am not going to lie, the most recent review scared me a bit. I booked the hotel months ago based on reviews earlier in the year. I'm happy I didn't let 1 review affect my trip. We stayed in one of the suites with a pool (2 floor hut basically). It was excellent. Very clean and tidy. Sure, the room smelled very faintly of dampness...but you are in the jungle on a very humid peninsula. If you don't expect this, you're set up for failure almost anywhere you go. Hun is also a brand new hotel and they are still working through their first year. They had to close when the pandemic started and were able to reopen in July (I believe that's what one of the employees told us). We found that the facilities and room were above satisfactory and very worth the price. There was an issue at check-in with my payment, something in their system hadn't updated after I paid in advance. The employee was very cordial when I showed her my receipt of payment via paypal. She took our bags all the same (we were early for check-in) and put them in our room for us when it was ready. When we came back to check in fully, I was notified again of the lack of payment. Just needed to show the receipt again and the staff was very polite and again, allowed us to go to our room no problem. At one point, we asked for a fresh bottle of water and it was delivered to our room free of charge. The check-in area and amenities are all sand (raked each day by staff), so it's easy to track into your room if you aren't careful, but I'm not sure how that would be any different from other hotels
